Earlier this week I was contacted by Marcus and Albin, two Sonyericsson colleagues working in Lund, Sweden, who have had the good fortune of using the XPERIA X10 for a couple of months. As a summary of some of their experiences they wanted to do a video clip showing how the X10 can be used in daily life.
In the video clip Marcus shows how he uses Timescape as the home screen of the phone and has all social media feeds, texts, music and photos easily accessible at the tip of a finger. Marcus also shows how he is using PlayNow for buying music, Market for downloading apps and games and TrackID for finding out what songs are playing at a café or in a store. The integration with YouTube is also shown from different perspectives.
I’m sure many of you who already have bought X10 or have followed this blog might have seen parts of this before but there are also newcomers here and I really think this shows a good glimpse of what to expect from XPERIA X10 and highlights some of its features in a very good way!
Please share among the comments if you have other good examples showing the experience of XPERIA X10!
@Rikard
Is it time to release a confirmation that Android 2.1 will be launched shortly for X10? Rumours are at Korean market will have 2.1 in their phones from May when they are released “Due to the highly competitive domestic market”.
Hi Rikard, nice video and updates. I’m loving my X10 but battery drainage seems to be a bit excessive. One question: do you know why Moxier Mail is always on even though I never set it up or touched it? Could this be draining the battery? Is it possible to uninstall it? Thanks!
Not to be negative here, but as you said Rikard, most of us here are already aware of what the X10 does. In spite of this though there’s been a lot of complaints and issues with the phone, i.e. fb connectivity, volume level, battery, mediascape, over-all speed, MT, android 1.6.. the list goes on. Can we have a guarantee that EACH of these are being addressed. I mean some are quite serious issues that when added up just completely ruins the experience on the phone. = as far as I can see, it seems they SE’s just glossing over the issues, perfectly satisfied with their product when indeed it still has some ways to go. We are aware of what the X10′s advertised to do since last year, we would like to see what it will be doing by tomorrow (metaphorically speaking). PLEASE.
@Mattias, Rikard, Sumit, Daniel, Timo, Marcus, Albin & S.E. Team:
Today, I want to CONGRATULATED you on the financial results, Q1 is the most difficult period, but showed good gains. that is a good omen. Keep up. As for market share, you’ve to work more on advertising and promotions. you’ve very good products. Again CONGRATULATIONS.
I liked the video, speaking slowly and I understood everything.
I also like the red tennis I’ve a question. Can X10 or ViVaz watch/play videos of youtube-HD?

@All, yes, I’m happy to see the positive financial result of Q1. Please keep moving in the competitive markrt to gain more share. We SE fans all over the world will be always supporting you.
As Mayowa said, in addition to the excitement of getting X10, some common issues have surfaced. Hope SE team make a quick response to the complaints and the users to make X10 a best device in the market!

Hi, I have just got my X10 today i have one week to decide if i wanna keep it or send it back and swap it for the htc desire.
I just really wanna know will the X10 get the latest versions of Android ? i really want the Live Wallpapers and how long roughly will we have to wait?
If i could even get a rough idea i would be happy and probably keep the X10.
I have had the X10 for over a week, and have been reading about the battery. after seeing this video, i really want to know how often he charges the battery and how long it lasts for him

I am really satisfied with my X10. Fantastic phone!
This android upgrade is coming, but when? I think that would be good for SE to announce it as fast as possible or at least write something telling us you are working with it..
But for myself i don’t care that much, you have already solved everything so 2.x won’t make such a big difference.
If this turns out to be true…..then some produckt manager has a lot to explain…

@bamoah,
I was so pissed off when i read that at engadget and thought of posting it here… then saw you already did it.
Already asked product launch bloggers to give us a proper confirmation(thru a blog update, and not a lazy comment), but they are just ignorant, who have no clue to what they are advertising or using.. Why does sony ericsson hire such people?
I know i am being rude, but i do love sony ericsson, and dont want to stay away from x10 because of its MAYBE lack of multi touch…
