What is the point of posting a 2 month old video? Release the damn thing instead…or at least give us some new info. Like when X10 and X10 mini will get an update to android 2.x.

Beauty comes from within. It’s not different with phones. Check out this video to catch a glimpse of the smart user interface, which has been optimised for compact screens. Navigation made easy single-handed.
You can see the Sony Ericsson Timescape signature application in use. It organises all communication in one place in an intuitive way, whether it’s text messages, Facebook updates, Twitter posts or missed calls. Like the UI also Timescape has been optimized for the compact screen. The supported services differ slightly from X10. X10 mini and X10 mini pro cover:
Facebook
• Status updates from friends
• Friend’s photo
• Inbox Message
• Friend Requests
Twitter
• Tweets from people user are following
• Tweet replies
• Direct message
SMS/MMS
• Incoming SMS and MMS messages
Phone calls
• Missed phone calls
If you click on a Facebook tile the browser is launched and X10 mini loads the Facebook.com website that corresponds to the message. By hitting the bottom left corner, you can write a new status update and then submit it to one or more services in Timescape (default are Facebook and Twitter).
If you click on a Twitter tile or press on a message in the infinite view the browser is launched and we load the Twitter.com website that corresponds to the message.
Enjoy watching!

Got a point Rauk.
Anyhow, as cool as the Mini’s are, in fact I think their interface is more fluid than the X10′s.. I still don’t understand why a phone that was announced months after the X10, and will be released months later still.. comes with Android 1.6. I mean it’s almost a completely new UX than the X10 (which shouldn’t still be 1.6 either) and it was still developed on 1.6… why

Interesting. Even Microsoft’s embracing the multi-touch with it’s new Kin devices. Though I’m not sure exactly why they are being announced in light of Windows Phone 7.. still has some features the X10 minis could benefit from, like the Kin studio for instance.

Dear SE.
I just ordered a HTC Desire and it will be delivered to me on april 19th. You have 5 days to give me a time table as to when you will release an upgrade to Android 2.x for the X10 and X10 mini.

Hi Timo, thanks again for another blog on this phone. It sure looks like a promising device, certainly feedback on the whole has been positive – I’d be tempted to say overall it’s been praised more than the X10 itself! The speed seems so much snappier than most phones, really impressed!
The challenge still seems to be there with the battery life however which has received lots of negative criticism – for every one good comment I’ve seen from users, there seems to be someone complaining about battery. SE will need some genius to get past this before release date or the reviews are going to be let down severely!

Yes, I am also very exited about that mobile. I found it and thought: This is it! But please give us a release date! Here in German it is also already listed in the pre-sales. And only at price of 290€. Is that realistic?
