Malmö to New York

I wasn’t as lucky with the sun as Rikard, but despite the grey film glued on the sky I went out for a city walk in southern Sweden. The city of Malmö to be more specific.

Even though it is late autumn, there are still some nice colours to capture. As Rikard highlighted, these pictures have been taken with development software which is being fine-tuned as we speak.

Quite a contrast to move on NY. Just got here last night. The photographical objects are slightly different at Times Square at night :) . I am here to meet with analysts and developers together with my colleagues, so we will see to that you get some reporting on what response we get from media and developers here.

All the best//Sumit

Summit you did a mistake(perhaps)..you didn’t linked the downsized pictures to the original pics. They don’t redirect you to the original image when you click on them? :(

I don’t know how to take this? But the Resolved detail is so good and where’s the noise?
Is it the X10 or the Photographer in you Sumit?
I mean m really amazed..!! M in love with it’s camera already. :)
The night pics have no noise of whatsoever!!! And for well lit pics..you would be amazed with the color rendering the the amount of detail.
Sandeep your expert comments on these..please?

    @ Novica
“Regarding DivX support I don’t know, haven’t tried that with the included Mediascape videoplayer yet. However as some others already mentioned I’m sure there are other videoplayers avaiable from third parties for that if the included one don’t play them.”
It would be quite wrong to say discouraging..but still when he is suggesting some third party players it seems X10 might be lacking it. :(
    P.S.
Well it was from the post of Rikard itself in the comments.

The 5th picture, which is a great candidate for judging high-ISO capabilities shows an astonishing lack of chroma noise. I’d assume that SE has introduced a far more aggressive noise reduction algorithm vis-a-vis the Satio, but this hasn’t come at the cost of detail. Simply brilliant, I say!

The last picture, which can fool the metering of even a DSLR in the hands of the uninitiated has been exposed perfectly. Per-pixel detail level is obviously not in the Satio’s league, but impressive nonetheless. For most users who don’t post process their shots (Unlike me :D ), the X10′s output would be a lot more desirable.

The bicycle shot(4th) has nicely turned out colors, but the focus seems to be a tad off at full res. What object did you lock the focus on, Sumit?

The shot before that is quite possibly one of the best I’ve seen from a camphone. The green is uncharacteristically vivid for an SE phone (We all know SE has paler, more natural colors unless they are pushed in post). Loved it. On a sidenote, brilliant composition as well. I’d love to see more of your work, Sumit!

Oh I love Times Square! I like the low-light photos. The amount of noise is small when I know that the software is still under development! Nice colors too, I like the pumpkin photo. Sumit can You pleasse upload the photos in full size when we click on them?!?
My favorite is the fifth photo, not becouse of the girl but becouse it shows the capabilities of the camera!
